Multi-Profile Self-Adhesive Foam Weatherstrip
D, P, E and I profile self-adhesive foam strips for door and window gap filling, dust control, cushioning and reducing contact noise.

Multiple Profiles for Different Gap Sizes
This family combines high-resilience sponge foam with peel-and-stick backing in multiple cross-sections. D and P profiles provide rounded compression zones, while E and I profiles serve narrower gaps and contact surfaces. Onaseal can recommend a profile based on the measured gap and compression target.
Typical Applications
- Residential and commercial door gaps
- Window sash and frame sealing
- Cabinets, wardrobes and appliance doors
- Reducing contact noise and cushioning light impact

Dimension guide: Sizes refer to one individual strip, not a paired strip. Width is measured across the adhesive mounting face; thickness is the uncompressed height above that face. P-profile thicknesses of 5, 5.5 and 6 mm are separate options, not a tolerance range.
Fit must be checked: Profile thickness is not the recommended gap size. Confirm the working gap, compression, closing force and adhesive bond with a sample on the actual surface before ordering. Roll length, tolerances, MOQ and sample availability are confirmed for the selected specification.
Compare D, P, E and I Foam Weatherstrip Profiles
Select the profile by measuring the closed gap and reviewing the required compression. Final dimensions, density and adhesive should be confirmed against the installation surface and service conditions.
| Profile | Section characteristic | Common selection use | What to confirm |
|---|---|---|---|
| D profile | Rounded hollow compression bulb | Door and window perimeter gaps | Closed gap, width, height and compression |
| P profile | Bulb with a supporting leg | Offset or uneven frame gaps | Mounting direction and contact position |
| E profile | Multi-channel flexible section | Light-duty gap filling and cushioning | Gap variation and recovery requirement |
| I profile | Straight foam strip | Flat joints, panels and general cushioning | Strip width, thickness and adhesive surface |

Foam Seal Size and Selection Questions
Yes. These are three separate P-profile options with the same nominal 9 mm mounting-face width and different uncompressed thicknesses. They are not a tolerance range. The four-profile comparison photo shows only the 9 × 6 mm P variant.
All listed sizes refer to one individual strip: width across the adhesive mounting face × uncompressed thickness. Do not use the total width of a joined pair as the single-strip width. Specify the required profile and individual-strip size when requesting a quote.
Use the section comparison and confirmed size table to shortlist a profile, then check it against the actual mounting geometry and closed gap. Profile thickness alone does not define a suitable gap range. Confirm compression, closing force and adhesive suitability by sample fitting.
Provide the installation-surface material and finish, indoor or outdoor use, expected temperature and exposure conditions, and any cleaning or surface-preparation restrictions. Adhesive suitability must be checked on the actual surface; do not assume one backing is suitable for every application.
Yes. Request the exact D, P, E or I sizes needed for your application. Sample availability, roll length, tolerances, MOQ and packaging are confirmed for the selected specification. Share a drawing or cross-section photo, measured gap and estimated quantity with the request.
